What does 360 community management mean? What is the purpose of 360 in community management? These are some of the questions we will discuss below
What Is 360 Community Management?
360 community management is a concept of performing different activities aimed at improving the general performance of your community. It consists of 3 main areas:
1. Internal Community Management
2. External Community Management
3. Monitoring, Measuring, and Evaluating Progress (or the main focus)
The 360 community management model was named by myself in April 2016. When we started developing the community management methodology at TRUSTe.
The purpose is to show that managers should not focus on a single area But that they should become proficient in all three areas to be successful in their role.
So this is especially important for new managers who have a lot to learn from more experienced professionals.
What Does 360 Community Management Mean For Your Organization?
360 community management allows you to review all aspects of your organization’s performance in terms of community management. It will allow you to determine which areas are most important for improvement and how best to achieve this.
It gives you a greater overall view of all areas which have an impact on the performance of your organization’s community management strategy. So this can help you evaluate the overall effectiveness of your current strategy.
And also identify areas where improvements are needed. While also helping you understand which areas are working well enough and should be kept as they are.
Also, even slightly improved upon.
Internal Community Management:
Internal community management is about making sure that everyone within the organization. It has an equal understanding of what community management is about and why it is important for their role in the company.
It also helps employees who work directly with members/users of your community understand why it is so important for them specifically. Also, as well as helping them identify what they can do to contribute towards a higher level of success in their role at work.
Internal Community Management:
The internal community management also helps employees become more familiar with one another. So that they can work together as a more cohesive unit towards achieving common goals related to any of the following:
- community management,
- encouraging collaboration between people.
Especially those people who may not normally interact with each other daily at work. Also, in their social lives outside of work hours.
Internal Community Management helps each employee understand
the importance of their role in the community management process. And how they can contribute to the next level of success.
External Community Management:
What is external community management? I define it as being around the edges of your community management strategy. This is something that every manager needs to be proficient in.
External community management is about getting people to know about your organization’s strategy and what you are trying to achieve. It is about promoting the success of your organization’s community management strategy positively.
External community management helps others who may not have heard about your organization’s work. With the community have a better understanding of what you do. Also why it may be beneficial for them to pay attention to what you are doing.
It also helps promote a better understanding of your organization’s strategy and all the hard work that goes into achieving it. It also helps generate goodwill toward your company and its community management efforts.
